HARMONIES FROM THE HEART wants to reveal the therapeutic- rehabilitative aspects of Gospel, inspired by the Global Languages method.

In its first part it describes an imaginative-sonorous journey in the maternal womb, inviting the listeners to let themselves go to the charm of the primeval, resonant environment.

Natural melodies where the foetus moves at the rhythm of the eternal “life lullaby”. After having been shaped by the sound for 9 months, the baby will affirm its identity, revealing the VOICE.

In the second part of the CD the individual goes through the evolution of the human being; from “the maternal womb to the social womb”, having a relationship with the world and looking for communication.

This is translated by Gospel, in a process which means to value its deep therapeutical effects, recognized by Global Languages: “the vocalism and choral aspect of this culture, without doubt reflect the universal human need for communication and being contained” (Tyna Casalini)

This original project has achieved its main aim thanks to the involving, active participation of 15 young people affected by mental troubles, a cooperation which highlights the value of communication and free expression.

The young people stereotypes become a rhythm, a harmony of sounds to know and be known. Tyna’s and the young people’s voices mix in an intense emotional exchange, to “reveal the strength and magic of music, when it becomes a mirror of human musicality” (Tyna Casalini)

Produced with the GDL operators who collaborate with Tyna (Rita Cappello and Mauro Colella) the CD was recorded using just voices and everyday objects (glasses, graters, buckets, tins, boxes, lids, toys, cutlery...)

HARMONIES FROM THE HEART is a didactic CD aimed to operators and people working in rehabilitation, pregnant women, health workers, M.A.T. operators in GDL, and all those who want to rediscover that musical competence acquired in the womb, in an emotional amplification to which Gospel gives voice, telling of a journey towards life understanding and its deep reasons.

The knowledge of the inner life of the human being is endless and all of us keep a common unconscious substratum, the will to overcome any obstacle life may place in front of us.
This is Gospel in Global Languages.
